Workshops provided by Writing about Research aim to deliver the highest quality instruction on how to communicate research logically and coherently.
The information and advice provided in Writing about Research workshops are made to the best of my knowledge and to the highest ethical standards.
Writing about Research will always respect the privacy and confidentiality of workshop attendees and their documents and will sign an approved confidentiality agreement if required. The copyright, and all intellectual property rights, of any material shared by an attendee with Writing about Research will remain with the attendee.
During the workshop Writing about Research might make attendees aware of resources (e.g. websites, software, courses) to assist those wishing to further improve their writing and research skills. Writing about Research does not unreservedly endorse the products, advertising or actions of any of these organisations. Writing about Research does not receive any remuneration for raising awareness about these resources.
Writing about Research shall not be liable for any damages or loss, financial or otherwise, resulting from our services, and under no circumstances shall our liability exceed the amount paid for our services. Writing about Research reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, at our discretion.
The resources provided by Writing about Research during workshops are for private and educational purposes only. The distribution of this material is strictly limited. Unless otherwise advised, this material cannot be reproduced in form, without prior permission from Writing about Research.
The intellectual property of any information (verbal, printed or digital) provided by Writing about Research is solely owned by Writing about Research. The fees provided by any individual or organisation in payment for the provision of information, tuition, or advice by Writing about Research, does not include payment for the intellectual property or copyright of this material.
Cancellations and Refunds Policy
If your circumstances change and you cannot make it to the workshop please contact me (geoffjhyde@gmail.com) as soon as possible.
If you cancel early (7 days or more before the start of the workshop), the workshop fee will be refunded, minus the booking charge.
If you cancel late (between 6 days and the day of the workshop):
- you may nominate someone else to take your place or,
- you have the opportunity to attend another workshop of the same type for up to 12 months after the date of the original workshop.
